Messi´s goodbye to 2022: I´ll never forget the year my dream came true

Lionel Messi signed off for 2022 by hailing the year when he won the World Cup as one he will never be able to forget .

The Argentina captain is due back at Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the coming week after being granted extended leave following his Qatar 2022 heroics.

His seven goals and three assists on Argentina s route to glory earned Messi the Golden Ball award, and at the age of 35 he finally got to lift the World Cup trophy, his career s crowning moment.

Messi posted to Instagram a series of pictures of himself with wife Antonela and their young family, marking the end of a transformative 12 months.

He wrote: A year ends that I will never be able to forget. The dream that I always pursued finally came true.

John Terry Shares Video of Diego Costa Fighting Chelsea Masseur in 2015 (Video)

Football is rarely short of interesting video material that gets all sorts of reaction in today s world of social media, but one would never expect to see a top-level professional player involved in a boxing match with an obviously much older club masseur.

But when it comes to Diego Costa, anything can be expected.

NFL Underdogs: Jason Logan’s Favorite Picks for Week 7

Halloween is hiding just around the corner, but Week 7 of the season looks like Christmas morning for those who love betting on NFL underdogs: Just look at all those points!

The Week 7 odds board is bursting with big spreads — +17.5, +15, and +12.5 — with the average handicap just under a touchdown. But all big spreads are big for a reason: bad teams.

And boy howdy do we have some bad ones this year.

I’ve always had trouble trusting big dogs, knowing that you were asking a terrible team to be just a little less terrible in order to cover the spread. I’d rather put my faith in a competent contender, knowing that there’s a capacity for improvement rather than just not sucking as much.

So, I dodge the big do…

Dallas Cowboys Odds, Predictions, and Betting Preview 2022: The Boys Are Back in Town

Expectations are always high in the Big D, and the Dallas Cowboys’ 2022 NFL odds reflect those aspirations, fueled by one of the softest schedules in the NFL and a feverish public betting fanbase.

Warranted or not, the Cowboys’ futures have them pegged for the playoffs as slim favorites to win the NFC East with a double-digit win total. In a twist from past seasons, if Dallas is going to live up to the hype, it won’t be because of its star-studded skill positions but rather an opportunistic stop unit headlined by a pair of the most promising young defenders in the league.

Here’s your NFL betting preview for the Dallas Cowboys.

Packers vs Bengals Preseason Picks and Predictions: Cincinnati's Quarterback Depth Looms Large

Following a heated joint practice this week, the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers will kick off their preseason at Paycor Stadium on Friday night as the visiting Packers enter as a 4.5-point favorite with a low total of 35.

With the high spread and low O/U, should bettors be taking the points Friday night with a Bengals team that might have the better quarterback depth for all four quarters?

Find out in my free NFL preseason picks and predictions for Packers vs. Bengals on August 11.

Christian McCaffrey Odds and Divisional Round Props: CMC Shines as a Pass-Catcher Against Green Bay

Tonight’s Divisional Round odds matchup between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers wasn’t precisely how the preseason pundits drew this up. Still, it should be a fantastic game and a great finish to an exciting Saturday of football.

The Green Bay Packers were written off after a 2-5 start but won five of their last six, including a 48-32 away victory over Dallas in the Wild Card round.

San Francisco currently headlines the latest Super Bowl odds, and star running back Christian McCaffrey led the NFL in rushing while leading the 49ers to the top seed in the NFC.

Find out where my NFL picks lie for McCaffrey’s props as we take a closer look at the NFL odds for Packers vs. 49ers on January 20.

NFL Week 4 Total Bets: Cincy's Offense Posts Big Number

The Pittsburgh Steelers have gone 3-0 to the Under this season and I’m expecting that trend to continue in Week 4 against the Colts. That said, the Detroit Lions are also 0-3 O/U and I’m betting on that trend to be snapped in my NFL picks for this week.

See why I’m making those plays while also betting on a shootout between the Panthers and Bengals with my favorite total bets for Week 4.

Veteran Lance Lynn looks for first win in 2024 vs. A's

Lance Lynn attempts to trace the footsteps of fellow veteran righty Sonny Gray and break into the win column as the visiting St. Louis Cardinals go for a second straight victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night. Pitching at the site of his early career success, Gray dominated the series opener for six innings, shutting out his former team on four hits in a 3-1 Cardinals win. Lynn (0-0, 2.63 ERA) is coming off a strong effort, having held the Philadelphia Phillies to one hit over five innings of what turned into a 4-3 loss last Wednesday. He has allowed earned runs in just one of his three starts, including opening his season with four shutout innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. With Lynn following Gray, who missed the opening of the season with a hamstring injury, in…

Championship roundup: Idah strike for Norwich has Farke ‘feeling good’

Adam Idah struck late as Norwich started life back in the Championship with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield. Idah scored nine minutes from time after Teemu Pukki pounced on a poor back-pass by Richard Stearman.

It meant defeat for Carlos Corberán in his first league match as Huddersfield manager, but the goal left his opposite number, Daniel Farke, “feeling good again” after last season’s gruelling run to relegation.
